JOB SUMMARY:
Highly skilled Senior VB.NET / Web Services developer with a strong background in building scalable, predictable, high-quality and high-performance web applications on the Microsoft technology stack with an IBM iSeries DB2 backend. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:
Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Microsoft Telerik and C#/VB.NET
Design, code and test new web software applications
Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing a design document identifying areas for modification and improvement
Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
Develop integration services or programs to connect back end systems (IBM iSeries/DB2 and SQL Server)
Investigate and develop skills in new technologies
Create technical specifications and test plans
Create new and extend existing operational documentation
Lead/mentor developers and share knowledge
Supervision Received:
Minimal supervision
Authority and Accountabilities:
Solid understanding of object oriented programming (OOP)
Deep knowledge of the .NET Framework, including Visual Studio 2010, VB.NET, ASP.NET
Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA)
Ability to design and optimize SQL stored procedures
Experience with JQuery or similar technologies
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
Candidate should be self motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills
Passionate about building high quality systems with software implementation best practices

Job Qualifications:
A. Training/Education/License/Certification/Registrations/Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related area
Microsoft certifications are a plus
B. Experience Minimum Requirements:
Six ( ) years experiences as a developer (lead developer would be a plus)
Three ( ) years experience with ASP.NET / VB.NET
Three ( ) years experience with SQL stored procedure
SQL Server preferred
