Opportunities Web Directory (ASP.net / Classic ASP / MySQL / SQL)
I currently use a directory that lists opportunities in two specific industries. These opportunities may be found by first selecting the industry. The result list of opportunities is sorted by featured opportunities first and it is followed by non featured. Each listing shows a representative image and some facts like title, opportunity type, days left, location, summary, and tags. The user can further filter results by type, location, days left. The system has an admin backend to manage users, listings, communicate with participants, send invoices and check activity. People that list in the directory are able to pay to enter a listing (free listings, featured listings and normal listings). The directory has a simple responsive interface and it was carefully developed for proper SEO practices. The project is to re-write this directory using the existing database. The platform that it was built on is no longer updated so we want to move to ASP.net and mySQL in an Azure hosting environment.
We are looking for a person who is familiar with ASP.net, mySQL and Classic ASP (to possibly service other projects we have). The candidate should have extensive experience in full-cycle development and be able to work on their own. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with best practices in secure code and user interface techniques. A fronted coder will be available as needed.
